Interpretation

Context 608 corresponds to a lens of discrete burnt and unburnt bones (possibly animal bones) found on one of the stones of the burial cover (c614) in the southern part of the grave. It is assumed that this represents a deliberate secondary deposit, likely associated with a commemorative ritual. No evidence of in situ burning was observed. However, the preservation of the remains was poor due to their location on the surface of the structure. Furthermore, bone analysis could provide more information regarding the composition of this deposit.
