Interpretation

Context c643 corresponds to a cut observed on the northern limit of the sondage excavated north of the wall c601. It truncates the layer c642, extending to the subsoil c644. Based on its orientation west-east, it could be interpreted as a possible ditch. However, the structure have not been excavated by the 2023 excavation season.

[Original notes taken on the context sheet : It's a cut of C643 which truncate C644 which is natural soil. And it's a east-west pit. DID NOT EXCAVATE IN 2023 SEASON]
