Context c620 corresponds to the embedding layer of the stone assemblage c615. It is identical to c604, but with a different number for practical reasons during the excavation. It consisted of a sandy silt soil, with some yellowish-brown burned fragments of soil.
This layer contained a few artefacts, mainly chipped stones, but also a ground stone, fragments of marble, quartz, and flint, as well as a shell object, a bone object, a bead, a few pottery sherds, and some pieces of clay building material. A few shells and animal bones were also retrieved.
Based on the observations, this layer appears to result from natural sedimentation, likely due to colluviation.
[Original notes from the context sheet : c620 was identified and excavate on th southeast corner of the trench for understanding context c615, which is full of selected round stones. C620 is outside of the c615; excavate southeast of c615 to make it align to c604 excavated area, and to understand east section. There were some chipped stones and stone raw material, maybe it was a stone factory, and other round stones which are easy to take (hand size), is suppose to be stone tools. The soil is similar with c604, and at the same level there are some chipped stones, stone raw materials in the middle of sondage and some burned soil which is yellowish brown, and some ash nearby, there weere also some conical bone tools which may be used.]
