Interpretation
Context 611 corresponds to a research process layer (cleaning surface) between the topsoil/subsoil (c600) removed by the excavator and the preserved layer of the stone deposit c615. A few finds have been retrieved from this sol, which is made of clayey silt (stone raw material, chipped stones), and they may have belong to the stone deposit. Nonetheless, it should be borne in mind that the upper layers of the trench have been disturb by the modern ploughings.

The soil outside of the stones is quite hard and clayish. For understanding whether is a cut or not, we cut the area from middle which to make it align to the sondage of c604]
