Interpretation
Context 629 corresponds to the soil found between the stones and fragments of clay building material (CBM) that made up the burial cover, revealed during its removal. Part of this soil likely belonged to the original cover (c614, c618, c626), but it may also include material that infiltrated from the upper layer (c609). Consequently, it is assumed that the lower portion of this soil became mixed with the upper part of the underlying layer c619.
