Interpretation
The context c617 corresponds to discrete burnt and unburnt bones (possibly animal bones) found on stone c624 of the burial cover, in the central part of the grave. This context is very similar to context c608 and it is assumed that this represents a deliberate secondary deposit, likely associated with a commemorative ritual. No evidence of in situ burning was observed. Nonetheless, bone analysis will provide further information regarding the composition of this specific deposit.
