Interpretation
The context 609 corresponds to a fine layer of soil that partially covers the stones of the grave's cover, located in the eastern part of the burial. It is assumed to be the last preserved layer of the burial, corresponding to the abandonment phase. This layer may have been slightly disturbed by modern ploughing and excavation activities. This could explain the compound composition of the layer, which consists of clayey silt with occasional whitish limestone gravel and small stone inclusions. A few animal bones were recovered, which may possibly belong to contexts 608 and 617. Notably, a stone bead (609 #5) was found near the north-eastern limit of the grave.
