Interpretation
Contexte 602 corresponds to an artificial layer—a cleaning surface—situated between the topsoil/subsoil (C600), which was removed by the excavator, and the last preserved layer of the burial (C609). This layer, composed of clayey silt with fine gravel of whitish limestones, has yielded a few finds, including bone, pottery, clay building material (CBM), shells, and chipped stone. However, as this area has been disturbed by mechanical excavation and modern ploughing, the finds may have originated from either the layer above, context C609, or the immediate surrounding areas, leading to the possibility of mixing between these contexts.
