Interpretation
The cut of the burial pit (F1) was not clearly visible, having been heavily levelled and disturbed. Only the bottom of the cut was discernible, identified by the difference in consistency between the fill material and the surrounding embedding layer of the burial. The pit had been almost entirely reduced by modern ploughing and excavation, making it impossible to observe the slopes. The pit was oval in shape, with an irregular bottom and a gentle slope toward the east (approximately 3–4 cm).
