SU 8049 represents the fill of construction cut SU 8048 into bedrock (SU?). SU 8049 was a clay-like brown fill that featured rocks up to a half-foot in length in greater quantities than the fill of SU 8046 overlying it. There were few material culture inclusions in SU 8049.
