C616 is under C604 and disturbed by animal,at top of this deposit.There are some pottery and small finds,and it became uniform at the bottom . The amount of the finds became less at the bottom of the deposit. There was a posthole (C625) at the north limit next to the wall (C601) which is supposed to be a cylindrical wood to stretch the wall, and the deposit seems to be a gentle slope from north to south. There is a small area at the north east side sontage set C612. C612 is a small layer with gray ash and didn't extend and thin. After excavating C616,the soil became loose and grayish,then keep excavating C630 ,which C616 changed to. And there is also a round area come up with friable and light soil.it seems to be a cut set the context C631.
