Description
upper fill of test pit
Interpretation
C954 is a test pit opened approximately in the middle of the northern wall of the trench. I t has a area of 1.5m x 1m. The soil was generally the same as C946, but it had no inclusions and it was slightly more compact. The goal of the test pit was to explore the area surrounding the house and go as deep as possible in order to see if there is a clear layer of Late Neolithic I and if the sttigrapby of the trench corresponds to the drilling (carrot samples). Pottery from this context was mostly from Late Neolithic II but there were also some sherds of Late Neolithic I. There were also some ground stones and chipped stones and also a peice of jewlery (bracelet or necklace) made of spondylosis gaederopus.
